Roasting

At Smiling Mug Coffee our roasters roast beans in frequent small batches to insure your coffee is at peak quality when it ships. Our roasting schedule is guided by customer demand, not warehouse inventory, so your coffee isn’t sitting around in a warehouse waiting for it to be sold.

We’ve built our roasting and fulfillment process to prioritize freshness, responsiveness, and quality. Orders are often packed and shipped the same day they’re roasted, helping us minimize storage time and deliver coffee that’s full of flavor and character.

The result is the freshest, small batch, craft roasted coffee available. Coffee orders generally ship in 1-2 business days (a bit longer during holidays and peak times).

Family Farms

All of our coffee is organic, specialty grade and ethically traded with a focus on relationships and respect for the farm and the farmer. All lots are carefully evaluated based on cup quality, farm process and sustainable practice.

You can read more about the individual Farms on the coffee selection page.
